IHCDC was founded in 2019 and is convened and operated by Alexander Hunt International, a Hong Kong-based firm specialising in senior executive search and Asia market-entry advisory. It is the firm's advisory board — a non-profit, invitation-only body that brings together business leaders, scholars and professionals from Greater China and beyond to explore how technology is reshaping human capital, and to advance workplace inclusion and talent mobility.

In an era shaped by artificial intelligence and other new technologies, the way talent is found, assessed and developed is being redefined. IHCDC exists as a place to exchange ideas and collaborate on that change.
IHCDC was founded in 2019 and is convened and operated by Alexander Hunt International. It is the firm's advisory board: by invitation, it brings together business leaders, scholars and professionals to examine how technology can transform, upgrade and renew the traditional human resources industry, and advises the firm on these questions. Alexander Hunt International is a Hong Kong-based firm specialising in senior executive search and Asia market-entry and leadership advisory, acting for boards, investors and growth companies across Hong Kong, Greater China and Asia-Pacific.
Its second mission is to work with other organisations to confront the growing problem of age discrimination at work, to promote talent exchange, workplace inclusion and a more global workplace, and to improve how human capital is integrated and allocated — so that talent and technology advance together.
IHCDC has no membership scheme, charges no fees and does not solicit donations or raise funds. It is the private advisory board of Alexander Hunt International and has no affiliation to any government body or statutory organisation. Its members are invited by Alexander Hunt and contribute in their personal capacity.

The board's work is organised around three connected themes.

Technology and the transformation of HR
Artificial intelligence, data and automation are changing how talent is sourced, assessed and managed. The board examines how organisations should adapt their structures, processes and leadership in response.

Inclusion and age equality at work
Working with other organisations to confront the growing problem of age discrimination at work, and to promote exchange and inclusion across generations — so that experience and new knowledge can coexist.

Talent mobility and a global workplace
Encouraging talent exchange across the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and Asia-Pacific, improving how human capital is integrated and allocated, and supporting companies and individuals as they develop across borders.
Activities
Greater Bay Area Symposium on Young Enterprise Talent and Technology
On 26 November 2019 IHCDC held the Greater Bay Area Symposium on Young Enterprise Talent and Technology at Songshan Lake, Dongguan, bringing together entrepreneurs, scholars and young professionals from across the Greater Bay Area to discuss talent development, the application of technology and the sustainable growth of the region. The programme included keynote addresses, a panel discussion and the inauguration of the Council Members.
