Raymond Chan has more than sixteen years of exper­i­ence in account­ing, finan­cial report­ing, audit­ing and tax. He worked at one of the Big Four account­ing firms, where his last posi­tion was Senior Manager, and has an in-depth under­stand­ing of account­ing stand­ards, finan­cial plan­ning, audit proced­ures and Hong Kong taxa­tion, match­ing clients' compli­ance needs to each stage of their busi­ness devel­op­ment.

He leads pre-IPO finan­cial and tax work for enter­prises seeking a listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Highly famil­iar with the Inland Revenue Department's policies, prac­tice and proced­ures — in partic­u­lar tax audit — he has extens­ive exper­i­ence in resolv­ing Hong Kong tax disputes and in advis­ory engage­ments cover­ing offshore claims, cross-border trans­ac­tions, gains on prop­erty disposal, large-scale tax audits and anti-avoid­ance cases. He has success­fully settled tax audit and offshore-profit disputes with the IRD for multina­tional and listed corpor­a­tions in sourcing, import/export, manu­fac­tur­ing, phar­ma­ceut­ical and finan­cial services, and has assisted multina­tional groups in obtain­ing Hong Kong tax resid­ency certi­fic­ates.
